Who We Are

Our Story

Al Aman Fund for the Future of Orphans was initiated in 2003 by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah and officially established as a non-profit organization in 2006. It is the first institution of its kind in Jordan dedicated to supporting orphaned youth after the age of 18.

The Fund was created to address a clear gap: once they turn 18, youth living in care homes, whether public or private, are no longer eligible for support and must face life on their own. Without a safety net or guidance, many struggle to continue their education or secure stable livelihoods.

The name “Al Aman”, meaning safety or security, reflects our mission to provide stability and support. The Fund empowers orphaned youth by equipping them with practical tools for a better future. This includes education support at universities, colleges, or vocational training centers, as well as capacity building, psychosocial support, and living assistance to help them live with dignity.

Over the years, Al Aman Fund has grown from a traditional charitable model to one focused on long-term, sustainable empowerment. Our approach centers on building strong partnerships where every donor is a true partner investing in the future of orphaned youth. Together, we create lasting impact.

The Fund operates under a clear governance structure. The General Assembly sets the long-term vision and priorities. The Board of Directors oversees planning, performance, and accountability. The General Manager and executive team handle daily operations and program delivery.

We remain committed to the highest standards of transparency and accountability, with policies in place to prevent conflicts of interest and ensure responsible stakeholder engagement.

Where We Work

Al Aman Fund for the Future of Orphans supports orphaned youth graduating from care homes across all governorates of Jordan, ensuring 100% coverage for eligible youth. The Fund also accepts applications from orphaned youth whose living and financial conditions prevent them from continuing their education. Applicants are selected based on clear criteria and the Fund’s available resources.

To expand its social impact, the Fund continues to build strong partnerships with institutions in both the public and private sectors.

Eligibility applies to graduates of care homes who meet the Fund’s conditions for support.
